Excuse me if I write in English, but I know better English. I have contacted you because they of it.wikiquote would like more info about your wonderful system of calculation of the citations. In particular, the code used by your bot if is public. Would you be willing to explain it? Even four words. You don't know how much I expected that you come back on. Merci Manuel. :) [[Utilisateur:Raoli|Raoli]] ([[Discussion utilisateur:Raoli|discussion]]) 3 avril 2012 à 02:18 (CEST)
:I have an idea. The main difference in quotations between fr.wikiquote and it is that fr.wikiquote uses a template. So, could you use simply the "Whatlinkshere"? Basically I don't know the programming language used by RimBot. I am in this case a complete ignorant. The main reason why I contacted you is only one: seing if I can do it because of your great bot to count quotations on it.wikiquote.
:Now I'll explain briefly the situation in it.wikiquote. The citations are divided into 2 main groups. Those in Italian and those in the original language. The formatting and the use are:

''simple quotation''
<pre>*citation 1 (source)</pre>

'''or'''

''quotation with original version''
<pre>*citation 2 brute (source)
:''citation 2 dans la langue originale''. (source)</pre>

'''or else'''

''original version with some translations''
<pre>
*''citation 3 dans la langue originale''. (source)
:première traduction. (source)
:deuxième traduction. (source)
:etc.
</pre>

:You can see how it's far from simple the count of quotations! ;) In fact usually inside the article on it.wikiquote between a quotation and the other there isn't even a line of empty space.

:Then you'll wonder why you this Italian - that you don't even know - have to spend your time with his conjecture. The reason is that I think they can be count, however, starting from a given simple:
:*the quotations may be counted by counting of the asterisks '''<nowiki>*</nowiki>''' in the article (in general). <small>In fact the citation is always indicated in all cases by an asterisk '''<nowiki>*</nowiki>'''</small>;
:*limitations: the detection of asterisks must be restricted to the main namespace and must be excluded the final standards sections (they have the same name).

:This sounds possible, but in reality maybe a little less. Do you think it is too expensive? Should be a long time? How could there be an update of the account? Think you will overload the servers? You need the temporary administrator privileges on it.wikiquote? You need someone who makes you a little it.wikiquote guide?

You don't know how much I thank you and how happy I am to be able to explain to someone this thing. [[Image:Face-grin.svg|40px]] [[Utilisateur:Raoli|Raoli]] ([[Discussion utilisateur:Raoli|discussion]]) 5 avril 2012 à 00:05 (CEST)
